Whenever I look at at the tanker boats in Vancouver, I always feel a newness to the scene. How the tanker boats relate to each other spatially and the colours of the current collection. In this piece I collaged dry paint, add gold leaf... I even wished for wold peace as I hand massaged the gesso! 🙈🙈🙈 It’s the start of a new line of work where I intentionally create a calm artwork meant for the home. Home decor, but with all the deliberate intention of peace I carry in my art practice... basically, I think some of the print-offs the sell at Winners are not doing the job of “real art.” This is real art, but it also looks aesthetically pleasing... that’s what I’m going for 😉.
